Craft Parties

I run craft parties for children at weekends, all year round in The Green Shed.

The maximum number of children is 14, plus me and 3 or 4 adults depending on the ages of the children.

On arrival, they’ll all use a nice non-sticky hand sanitizer. There will just be me plus 3 or 4 adults. No one else, so as to keep it as airy and spacious as possible.

The heating will be on and the windows and doors will be kept open for maximum fresh air.

There’s now a large covered gazebo outside with chairs and a large sofa which the children love. 

Parents will be asked to wait outside when they collect their children at the end of the party. 

Collage and Card Party 

2-hour party
Ages 6 yrs upwards
A one-off flat fee of £75 for the space, and £25 per child, payable afterwards

I’m a textile artist and have collected a huge variety of beautiful fabrics that the children use at these parties. 

There will also be lots of little fabric animals, flowers etc to choose from, and they’ll make a collage themselves with as much or as little help as they want. No experience or artistic flair is necessary, and they’ll all go home with something lovely which they’ve created themselves. 

If they like they can make a couple of collage cards too. 

You can have up to 14 children, and l’d need 2 or 3 other mums helping.

The amount, of helpers needed will depend on the number of children and their ages.

You won’t be charged for children who can’t come.

Scrapbook Party

2-hour party
Ages 7 yrs upwards
A one-off flat fee of £75 for the space and £20 per child

All materials are provided.

Scrapbook parties are great fun for children aged 7 and upwards and they love them.
They’re quite quiet and therapeutic and children quickly get engrossed in creating their pages at their own pace sitting around the table.

I have a large variety of paper and lots of lovely embellishments they can choose from.
They can also bring some bits from home e.g. photos, theatre tickets, cards, sweet wrappers etc. 

You won’t be charged for children who can’t come.

General Information 

Our craft parties are relaxed, informal, and great fun. They’re perfect for children who are having a birthday but don’t want a big party. They have a great time and go home with something lovely which they’ve made themselves.

The maximum number of children is 14 as there are 14 chairs round the table.

You won’t be charged for children who can’t attend.

Craft time is roughly 1 hour 15 minutes, with food and cake taking about 45 minutes.

You can order pizzas from one of the many local pizzerias or you can bring small, packed lunches, sandwiches, or just snacks.

The birthday cake or cupcakes don’t need to be lavish or expensive, and the children generally aren’t that keen on thick icing.

The Green Shed is heated and cosy in Winter, and in Summer it stays cool and airy with the windows open.

Theres a large garden and a big, covered gazebo outside with chairs and sofas. There’s also a wooden playhouse suitable for all ages.

You can bring music on your phone with your child’s favourite songs, it’s lovely when they all sing along. I have a little speaker.

Balloons are already in the Shed and it’s a decorative space so there’s no need for extra decorations.

The craft parties go on all throughout the year. It’s very cosy in Winter with heating, lights and candles.

If the weather is nice, children can eat in the garden. Please bring cardigans even if it’s hot, as The Shed is cooler than the outside air.

I ask that no blowing bubbles are brought, as the tortoises may be outside and the bubble solution can spill onto the grass.

A few things to note:

• Please ask parents to bring their children here on time
• I have a tiny Yorkshire Terrier dog who might be around
• I provide water and cups. Please don’t bring cartons or bottles of juice, as they can spill and get sticky
• When parents come to collect, they generally wait outside the gate rather than coming into the garden
• As this is a residential area, children are asked not to scream or shout too much outside. Your support with this is appreciated.
• You don’t need to provide party bags. I have lovely paper carrier bags for children to take their creations home in, and you can bring a few bits to add to the bags. 
• There’s a driveway for two cars available, with free street parking at weekends.
